When hair stops framing the face and becomes the object.
For the Object III cover built around Kunbi, hair was handled the way a set designer handles a prop: shaped, placed and photographed as a thing in its own right.
It is the most object-like work in this portfolio, less about flattering a face, more about holding a form. Magazine covers give you that permission once in a while.
